Is there a short-cut to getting fit?

Not many of us manage the recommended five sessions per week of moderate exercise lasting 30 minutes. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) has recently become a popular choice for people who are short of time. A recent episode of ‘Trust me I’m a Doctor’, ran a test over four weeks to see how moderate exercise compared with HIIT in a lab, HIIT at home and ‘hand grip’ exercises.

The lab HIIT group gained the most fitness, but it was interesting to note that the ‘hand grip’ group saw the biggest drop in blood pressure.
