Pilates Reformer

The reformer is probably the most well known of the large Pilates studio equipment. Like the cadillac and wunda chair, it uses springs to provide resistance, making the exercises effective more quickly.

According to a recent article in Women’s Health magazine, Pilates workouts on the reformer are back in fashion. “From celebs to athletes everyone is attributing their impossibly lithe powerhouse physiques to it“. I have been doing Pilates studio work since 1999 and like other Pilates devotees, I don’t think that if ever went away!

There are fewer Pilates studios than mat classes, but if you are interested in trying it out, I offer private and shared sessions. These are ideal if you can’t make a regular mat class, want exercises tailored to your needs or to focus on a particular problem. To book, contact me.
