Coronavirus (COVID-19) – last update 18-Jul-21
From 19th July 2021, the coronavirus rules are being relaxed, but many practices are still recommended, especially in indoor spaces. I am teaching private sessions in the studio or mat based sessions on Zoom.
Please read this information about the COVID-19 arrangements that will be in place for us to stay safe.
Private sessions are ideal if you are just starting out, can’t make a regular mat class, want exercises tailored to your needs or to focus on a particular problem. In the studio, you also benefit from the use of the large Pilates equipment (reformer, etc).
Although Pilates is better known for its matwork, it also offers a wide range of exercises on studio equipment specially designed by Joseph Pilates. These are the reformer, cadillac (also known as the trapeze table), wunda chair and barrels.
The Pilates equipment uses springs to provide resistance, making the exercises effective more quickly. They help you maintain the correct body alignment, creating less risk of injury. They also challenge and support your body as it learns to move more efficiently.
In a studio session for one, two or three people, you undertake exercises that are tailored to your specific needs – and you don’t have to get down and back up from the floor!
Private sessions are held by appointment, last one hour and cost £40 (one or two sharing) or £42 (three sharing). Discounts are available for block bookings. If for any reason you are unable to attend your private session, please let me know the day before to avoid a cancellation charge.
