If you want to do some extra Pilates practice at home, then there are masses of books and DVDs available. The difficulty is choosing one that is suitable for you. I recommend:
- ‘The Pilates Bible’ by Lynne Robinson, Lisa Bradshaw and Nathan Gardner – this is produced by the organisiation that I trained with and has most of the exercises that we do in class
- ‘The Pilates Body Kit‘ by Brooke Siler – an audio CD kit with flash cards – I used this for practice when I was training – note that her definitions of ‘beginner’ and ‘intermediate’ are based on the classical repertoire and are more advanced than mine
- Stott Pilates DVDs – Stott have a huge range of DVDs so you should be able to find one that suits you
